Green Bean Corn Casserole

from: Gooseberry Patch Christmas Book 7

note: This is one of the best casseroles we have had in a long time. I made it for Christmas dinner and it was a hit. It's a nice change from traditional Green Bean Casserole. If you like green beans, you could use two cans...one can was almost not enough in comparison to the corn.

14.5 oz French cut green beans
15 ¼ oz corn
1 C sharp cheddar, shredded
½ C onion, chopped
1 C sour cream
10 ¾ oz cream of celery soup
½ C butter, melted
1 sleeve Ritz crackers, crushed

Spread green beans on the bottom of an ungreased 9x13 baking dish. Layer corn on top of green beans. In a separate bowl, mix cheese, onion, sour cream, and soup, and then spread over corn and green beans in baking dish. Combine crackers and butter, sprinkle on top. Bake at 400° for 40 minutes or until golden.
